Certificate of Gold

The Macau Consumer Council, together with the Macau Goldsmith’s Guild, issues the “Certificate of Gold” to its guild members.  Such certificate gives the Macau residents and tourists a guarantee of the quality of the gold they purchase.  This validation started in 1998, and the two associations annually conduct sample testing of gold sold by its guild members.  Starting in 2004, the sample collection includes both “Chuk Kam” and “Karat Gold”.  A “Certificate of Gold” will be issued annually to those members who reach the standards of quality assurance of gold sold in their shops.
